There are several different subdivisions located within the Powers Corridor of Colorado Springs. Powers Boulevard is a major north/south road travelling from the Fountain area north to Highway 83 near Flying Horse Ranch. The actual areas discussed here will be from the middle section most popular with families who want to live near all of the new amenities that the area provides.
Key neighborhoods in this area are: Stetson Hills, Springs Ranch and Banning Lewis Ranch. The MLS search code for this area is PWR.
All three of the above neighborhoods are an easy commute to Peterson and Schriever Air Force Bases. This means that there is usually a steady stream of buyers and renters moking in to the area which assists with resale value of it’s homes. Other draws to the area are the Cinemark movie theaters and many great restaurants. Shopping includes big box stores like Best Buy and Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse.
Area home prices start in the 150’s and go up to the high 400’s but an nice 3 bedroom, 3 bath home with 2500 square feet can be found in the mid 200K range. Homes in the area tend to be newer with two story homes being a popular floor plan.
The school district for the area is School District 49. There are two high schools, Sand Creek and xxxxxxx. Several middle and elementary schools are in the individual subdivisions.
Baseball fans can enjoy the Colorado Springs Sky Sox play at Security Service Field in Stetson Hills. This is a great place for good clean family fun on a summer night!
